The story behind the Photo:
I had been on Venice beach very early in the morning to work on some long shutter speed exposures without the need of neutral density filters. After sunrise I started to head back to the parking lot to head out for some coffee. As I reached the parking lot I noticed the clouds moving out over the Gulf and starting to form surrealistic shapes. They stopped me in my tracks. I quickly returned to the beach; set up my tripod and camera and took this picture.
To process, I just used some luminosity and graduated masks to adjust the tone.
The name Cloud Messenger seemed to fit well as the clouds called me back to the beach to photograph them.
